Two things you can find within a mile of most New England doorsteps. Together they describe what we want to leave behind with every client.
The Tanager
A small songbird, native to much of the eastern United States. The summer male is brilliant red against black wings. Easy to miss. Impossible to forget.
But a bird's real gift is perspective. From the canopy, a tanager takes in the whole landscape: the field, the treeline, the weather coming in from the west. It sees what's coming long before anything on the ground does.
That's half our work. Getting you above the daily rush long enough to plan honestly, name the obstacles while they're still distant, and build the reserves that make a hard year survivable instead of fatal.
The Oak
Patient. A ring at a time. It outlasts nearly everyone who plants it. And it gives constantly. Shade in July. Shelter for dozens of species. Acorns that feed a whole food web. An oak holds up far more than itself.
That's the other half. Vision alone doesn't survive contact with a budget cycle. Organizations need structure: systems, financial footing, and people who can carry the mission forward.
Why Both
Tanagers nest in oaks. Mature oak forest is prime breeding habitat, and the birds work the canopy for the caterpillars that would otherwise strip the leaves. The bird depends on the tree. The tree is healthier for the bird.
Vision without a foundation never lands. A foundation without vision is just a place to stand. You need both. So we built a firm around both.
